We are excited to share the beauty of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve from the doorsteps of Silverleaf. Our experienced guide will lead you from the Silverleaf Trailhead venturing into the lush desert and mountains surrounding Silverleaf. The moderately strenuous, medium paced 1.5 - 2 hour loop (3 to 5 miles) will connect to the Desert Park Trail. The Sonoran Desert offers stunning variety of plants, cacti, critters and history. Hiking is the best way to explore this unique landscape. Must be 18 years or older. Moderately Strenuous hikes will generally be challenging for an unconditioned person. The terrain will involve a rocky trail with a steady and general incline. Proper footwear required. Pre-registration is required.
