Guided Hike to The Gateway Loop-Silverleaf's Trail

We are excited to share the beauty of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve from the doorsteps of Silverleaf. Our experienced guide will lead you to The Gateway Trailhead venturing into the lush desert and mountains surrounding Silverleaf. The medium paced loop will connect to the Desert Park Trail for a total of 6 miles from start to finish. The Sonoran Desert offers stunning variety of plants, cacti, critters and history. Hiking is the best way to explore this unique landscape. Must be 18 years or older to participate.  This moderately strenuous hike will be challenging for an unconditioned person. The terrain will involve a rocky trail with a steady and gradual incline. Proper footwear required. Please meet your guide outside the fitness center as we will be walking to the trailhead at 9:45am sharp.
